Friends, I generally use the audio platform to mostly speak about sound history and politics, but this latest episode of the podcast is an incredibly important and special one to me. I got to sit down with Dr Jade Davis who wrote The Other Side of Empathy and we spoke for about an hour about what I think is an incredibly vital and moving piece of political and philosophical writing.
You can listen to the interview here, for spotify users, or here for apple users, and it’s also available to listen to here for youtube users
Dr Davis is an incredible scholar and archivist as well, as this research required a deep study of colonial archives for photographs and notes and letters. I want to thank Dr Jade Davis for making this text, and for agreeing to sit and talk with me about it. The book is available everywhere you buy books and I have found copies in regional libraries as well. Do yourself the favour, get the book.
